Patriots Fight Their Way Back Into Ballgame But Come Up Short (5/12/2007) - Patriots 4 at Freeport High School 5

Poor defense put the Patriots in an early-inning hole as Freeport plated four unearned runs. The Patriots bounced back to make a game out of it, but wound up on the losing side of a five-to-four score.

Josh Dumaine had two hits for the Patriots, stole a base, and drove in a run. Designated hitter Brent Sawyer added an RBI single.

Pitcher Joe Billings went the distance for Gray-New Gloucester, allowing just one earned run. He scattered five hits, walked two batters, and struck out four.
